There is ice in your veins. Your skin is cold to the touch. You have fleeting memories of a life before, one that was soft and warm. Those thoughts are fading and they are fading fast. All you know now is the cold. And a rage you can not define. He calls to you. Tells you to follow him south. You are not sure if he has made promises for a better life, if that is what you can still call it. Still, you cannot help but follow the others.
This smoothie is as white as they untouched snow. Banana and pear blend together to create a subtle platform to carry the explosive flavors of ginger and lemon. Acid cutting through cream as the Night King’s army cuts through the north to descend on Winterfell.
The Last Night

1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1 Tbsp Chopped Ginger
1 C Evaporated Milk.
1 Tsp Honey
½ Tsp Corn Syrup
Sm Drop of Blue Food Coloring
I got into a smoothie phase and have a tendency to keep sliced up frozen bananas in my freezer. Which I HIGHLY recommend. They can easily thicken up your smoothie without watering it down like ice cubes. Or if you are like me and do not have a high powered blender you do not need to run the risk of destroying your blender every time you use ice.
I know, I know. I may be overreacting. But I swear when I put ice in my small blender I feel like it will explode. Or catch on fire. Or both…..maybe I need a better blender.
If you do not just happen to keep bananas in your freezer, prepare the day before.
Before we construct our smoothie let’s make our glasses nice and pretty. On a dish drop about a ½ tsp of corn syrup and a tiny drop of food coloring. Mix together with a toothpick until the syrup is blue. Run the rim of your glass through the syrup. Hang upside down over the dish to let the excess drip off the glass.
Sprinkle the rim with coconut flakes and place the glass in the freezer.
Slice your pear away from the core. Combine pear and banana slices with all other ingredients into your blender. Add more banana or milk to achieve the desired consistency.
Pour into your glasses and serve with a straw!
I am not ashamed to admit that the rim is for visual effect and does not add anything to the taste. It will be sticky so you may want to avoid touching it.
