Pretty in Pink

I can tend to be bourbon heavy, especially in the winter season, I love darker liquors. But sometimes in the midst of the cold, you need a light sparkling drink that is just plain easy. Especially if you are going to be drinking for a while.

Sometimes, you just want a pink drink. My brother dug it, completely agreeing.

Pretty in Pink

Per Drink

  • 2 Sage Leaves

  • 6 Raspberries

  • Squeeze of Lemon

  • 1 Tsp Simple Syrup

  • 2 Oz Vodka

  • 1 Oz Tonic

In a shaker muddle together sage leaves, raspberries, lemon, and vodka until well combined and the raspberries have released all their juices. I took the easy way out, my dad had pre-made simple syrup on hand and I couldn’t say no.

Tip: if you ever need to make your own it is equal parts sugar and water, cook over medium heat until all the sugar has dissolved.

Add syrup and ice and shake! Strain out the liquid, leaving all the pulp behind, into a glass filled with crushed ice. Top with tonic for bubbles and add another sage leaf for garnish.
