Around Halloween Melody and I decided to tackle the Conjuring series. One of those horror movies where something is possessed and they cause major trouble. To fix this issue and save the day, Lorraine and Ed Warren need to study the home, make contact with the creature and banish it from the home. Obviously, it does not go smoothly.

In all honesty, it was really good. The cinematography was captivating, there were moments of pause and suspension, creepy music, and all the fixings that make a scary movie.

We decided to watch them all, The Conjuring 2, Annabelle, The Nun, and Annabelle Creation. They are all semi-linked. Even though our friends the Warrens are not in Annabelle and the Nun there are ways these movies all tied together.

We enjoyed them all, except Annabelle. This one was terrible for many reasons that I will not get into. All I will say is that it lacked the delivery of the others we had watched. It made me reluctant to watch Annabelle Creation, which technically was the second one in this sub-series. In my experience, a sequel is worse than the original, my hopes were not high and I kept on putting it off. I especially did not want to pay for it.

Melody would keep bringing it up, how we never finished the series. Then one day, browsing through HBO, I found Annabelle Creation. It was free and that creepy doll was calling to me, making itself available so I could give in and watch the final movie.

I called Melody and we made a plan to finish this horror adventure. I was not disappointed! This director knew what he was doing and it had me almost hiding behind my pillow. I did have to move from my couch to the corner of my bed because obviously, it would be less scary there.

We were somehow able to eat while watching this and enjoyed Turkey Meatballs with homemade Marinara Sauce and a non-alcoholic drink that had us Feeling Bubbly.
